Action Thriller

An action thriller featuring Sylvester Stallone and Sharon Stone, set in Miami, Florida, in the 90's. Sylvester Stallone play Ray Quick, an ex-CIA agent that specialised in bombs, before fleeing his old life, after a job went wrong. Sharon Stone plays Adriane/May, an orphaned girl, seeking revenge as an adult for the traumatic execution of her parents.
Adriane has been recommended to reach out to Ray by Trent, Ray's ex-accomplice. Unknown to Ray, that Trent is working with Adriane.

When Adriane and Ray are communicating, it is all external, via the telephone line and they haven't met in person. Adriane gets a silhouette glimpse of Ray in the dark but hasn't seen him in person, compared to Ray who draws closer to her, without her knowing. However, that is the deal for her, to draw Ray out from hiding for Trent to seek his revenge.
Adriane begins to amp her revenge mission up by dating Tamayo, played by Eric Roberts. Tamayo and his dad were the people responsible for Adriane's parents' execution.
The film is quite predicable and if I am being honest, I did lose interest in it quite quickly, however I did watch it until the end. In terms of predictable, there wasn't any plot twists or shocks in the movie, and it wasn't very captivating.
However, I did enjoy the nostalgic from watching an action movie from the 90's. The fashion and make up worn by Sharon Stone were exceptional and matched her character and her mysterious appeal to her character.

Throughout the movie it has high bass and instrumental sounds to emphasise the drama, suspense and action. This element compliments it and helps to build the suspense and keeps the movie moving onto the next scene.

I would rate this a 3/10 and I probably wouldn't watch it again anytime soon. I would recommend it to anyone that likes films with familiar characters from that era and are wanting to watch an action movie.
